Travellers arriving from West Austria take the ÖBB via Bregenz and the German transfer station in Lindau.
For the rest of Austria we recommend the long-distance route via Munich / Ulm to Friedrichshafen.

From Switzerland
SBB route via Basel to Lindau / SBB route to Romanshorn and then take the car-ferry to Friedrichshafen (hourly route). Or via Zürich and Winterthur to Konstanz and then take the catamaran to Friedrichshafen.
