Around 6,000 companies exhibit in Friedrichshafen annually, attracting over 600,000 visitors and 2,000 journalists. The exhibition area comprises 12 halls with an exhibition area of approximately 85,000 m² und an open-air area of around 16,000 m², ideally situated between the halls.

Along with the international trade fair centre, the congress centre "Graf-Zeppelin-Haus" plays a key role, hosting over 1,000 congresses and cultural events annually.
